sometimes I talk to people that are 10 years younger than I am

I wonder what all has changed in the 10 years that differentiates us

what stayed the same

who would I be today if I was born 10 years later

earlier?

my parents have learned a lot in 10 years

have I?

what did I forget?

sometimes i feel like I’m the same person through it all

but nothing feels the same

do i spend too much time afraid of tomorrow and forgetting the past

does everyone?
